I will let Matt update you on the trip when he returns, but I will say they have had a wonderful time so far! They spent three days at CAPA helping in the library and teaching. Then they spent Thursday morning at the prison and Thursday afternoon at the outreach in Chinsapo village.
It's Friday morning now, and they're packing up for camp. Here are some prayer requests from an email Matt sent the church:
Please be praying for us as we head off to camp tomorrow morning. Please pray that we would honor Christ in all we do. Kalei and Caleb will be doing games for the kids. Ben and Jacob will be teaching the youngest class. Jackie and Beth will be teaching the two older classes. Barbara will be helping in the various classes as needed (we actually still don't know how many kids will be in each class). I will be teaching the adults on Colossians 2 & 3.
Please be praying that the rain will stay away while we are at camp (many families will be tent-camping). Please pray for health for everyone and great fellowship as a team.
Thanks for praying for their trip. They return, Lord willing, next Wednesday!
Jacob had many opportunities to serve in the CAPA library - carrying, moving, cataloging, and protecting books.
With the addition of Ben and Kalei, the Malawi team is finally all together! They're on their way to camp! Thanks for praying!
Andrew's doing great after his procedure today!
On the home front, we are pleased to let you know that Andrew's follow-up surgery went well today and we are looking forward to what we hope is his final ultrasound and appointment in 4 weeks! We are so thankful to the Lord for His timing and provision.
